Welcome to Barrington Regional Curling Club
Barrington Regional Curling Club (BRCC) is the volunteer-based not-for-profit society that manages and operates the Municipality of Barrington's curling facility, which is part of the Barrington Municipal Recreation Complex. BRCC ensures that the Olympic sport of curling, which is central to sporting culture in Canada, is available to residents of all ages throughout the Municipality of Barrington and the surrounding region, including the Town of Clark's Harbour, the Pubnico areas of the Municipality of Argyle and the western communities of the Municipality of Shelburne. The curling centre officially opened in January 2001 and features a modern and fully accessible four sheet ice surface, lounge, kitchen, bar, washrooms and change facilities.

As a municipal facility, the curling club is open to the public and anyone is welcome to stop in during open hours to find out how you can give curling a try. You can also enjoy watching the curling action out on the ice, access the wifi, watch sports coverage on TV, or to just socialize and enjoy the lounge. We really do have something for everyone! Typical club hours for during the curling season (mid October to end of March) are weekday evenings from 6:30 - 10:00 pm and select hours during the day and on weekends. See League/Program Schedules under the PROGRAMS tab in the menu for more information.

We have something for everyone - Recreational curling leagues, stick curling, youth curling, drop-in curling and other programs are all open to everyone interested in curling. You do not have to be an experienced curler to join any of the club leagues or curling programs. We have curlers of all abilities, experience levels and ages playing and enjoying the sport together. League registration dues or drop-in fees are paid by curlers to help offset the costs of operating the facility.
The Municipality of Barrington is located in picturesque Shelburne County, known as the Lobster Capital of Canada and the Barrington Regional Curling Club is the Home of the Original Lobster Spiel Open. Every year on the first weekend in February, curlers from near and far gather for our famous bonspiel, to enjoy friendly curling competition, and share stories over a delicious lobster supper. We hope you will be able to join us!
