Welcome to your Barrington Regional Curling Club
Did you know that Barrington Regional Curling Club is NOT a private club or exclusive, members only facility? That's right! BRCC is the volunteer-based not-for-profit organization that operates the Municipality of Barrington's curling facility, which is part of the Barrington Municipal Recreation Complex. The curling centre officially opened in January 2001 and features a fully accessible modern four sheet ice surface, lounge, kitchen, bar, washrooms and change facilities.
We are for everyone - Recreational curling leagues are open to everyone interested in trying curling. You do not have to be an experienced curler to join any of the leagues. We have curlers of all abilities, experience levels and ages playing and enjoying the sport together. League registration dues are paid by curlers to help offset the costs of operating the facility.
We are OPEN - As a municipal facility, the space is open to the public and anyone is welcome to stop in during open hours to watch the curling action, hold a meeting, access the WIFI, watch sports coverage on TV, or to just socialize and enjoy our lounge. We really do have something for everyone! Typical hours for during the curling season (October to March) are weekday evenings from 6:30 - 10:00 pm and select hours on weekends.
Barrington Municipality is known as the Lobster Capital of Canada and the Barrington Regional Curling Club is the Home of the Lobster Spiel. Each February, curlers from near and far gather for our famous spiel, to enjoy old-fashioned curling camaraderie, and share stories over a delicious lobster supper. We hope you will be able to join us!
